About Harewood / Braithwaite Family Tree
Please sign in to see more.
This site was composed based on information that was compiled over a six year period. Hopefully, everyone who visits this site will find it
useful and helpful in the search of their ancestors.

Current information about the Harewood and Braithwaite (Brathwaite) families are listed at this site. It seems as though
General Miles Braithwaite was one of the original members of the family. He was the reputed father of Margaret Braithwaite.
Margaret Braithwaite married ADDO (meaningof ADDO: "King of the road". He was a former African slave from Ghana, West Africa) Addo was renamed Edward Braithwaite. Addo and Margaret Braithwaite had eleven children. James Edward Braithwaite was their eldest son. He emigrated from Barbados to Grenada. Two of his known siblings were Aaron Braithwaite and Moses Braithwaite. James Edward Braithwaite had one known son: Rev. Samuel R. Braithwaite who emigrated from Grenada to Jamaica. He was the grandfather of Carol Ifil King who resides in Barbados.
